We have been closely monitoring the development of COVID-19 in Canada and overseas. As an organization that works closely with those with a life-threatening illness and their caregivers, as well as the bereaved, we are trying to limit exposure to potential risks. The following are the protocols that we are introducing, for the time being:
- Suspending all in person groups.
- Face-to-face professional counselling and volunteer support will continue by telephone, e-mail or face-time like apps.
- Our staff will be working at home. The office will be monitored on a regular basis. All calls, e-mails and faxes will be received and responded to as soon as possible.
Please feel free to call or email us if you have any concerns. 416-499-2185 firstname.lastname@example.org
We remain committed to protecting the health of our clients, our volunteers and our staff and their families. We continue to monitor updates surrounding COVID-19 closely on a daily basis.

Normal grieving outlets such as funerals, rememberance gatherings and even being able to keep a dying loved-one company have been altered by the need for self-isolation. Whether you know someone who is ill from COVID-19 or any other illness during this time, there will be added complications in caring for, supporting, dealing with your anticipatory grief or your grief after the death of someone close to you. Here are some specific resources that may help. Evergreen has assembled a series of links on these topics to provide people with more information. Our COVID-19 resource page is here.
