Evergreen Hospice is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information of its employees, members, volunteers, clients, Board members and other stakeholders. Personal Information does not include business contact information and certain publicly available information – such as names, addresses and telephone numbers published in telephone directories.

Where an individual uses his or her home address as business contact information as well, we consider that the contact information provided is business contact information and is not, therefore, subject to protection as personal information.

Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is disclosed only as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. We take measures to made certain that the integrity of the information collected is maintained and to prevent information being lost or destroyed. In this regard, staff, volunteers and others associated with Evergreen Hospice are bound by Confidentiality Agreements.

It is the policy of Evergreen Hospice not to sell or share information about its employees, members, donors, volunteers or clients with third parties.

At times we may use a third party for collecting this information (For example, when you sign up for our newsletter or make a donation) In these cases the third party has agreed to keep the data secure and not to access it. When a visit is made to our website, our web server automatically logs (records) domain name and standard information about the operating system and web browser being used, as provided by the web browser. This information is used for statistical purposes to help us manage our site; it does not identify an individual in any way. We do not use “cookies”.

Our website may contain links to other websites, which are provided as a convenience only. Third party websites linked from https://evgcares.org may have different privacy policies and practices than Evergreen Hospice, and Evergreen Hospice has no responsibility for such third party websites.
